Minutes of FIFTH General Body Meeting
The minutes of the Fifth General Body meeting; 6th Februry, 2023.
Resolutions passed.
The 5th Plenary Meeting was held on 6th February, 2023 at 5.00 PM in Ramalaya Premises.
The agenda, discussed and approved items of this meeting are embedded below.
1.President Dr. A. Jayanth Kumar congradulated all the primary members who responded in the shortest possible time to submit the petition asking the corporator for assistance in construction of our Sangha Bhavan. The President thanked all the members for standing behind and cooperating in making the 'petition submission' program a success.
2.It was resolved in the meeting not to post any kind of WhatsApp message in our group, may be political or any message which pollutes the harmony and healthy atmosphere among the members, and if any such post is found, the group admins will delete it immediately. It is requested that no member should feel bad in this matter.
3. It is requested that every member of the senior citizen association should not stay alone at home and they must join the comminity, forget loneliness, share their hardships and spend time happily and peacefully with their peers and members of our community.
4. Some of the primary members, by recalling the happy memories of the 'get together' party organized in December, 2022, expressed their desire to organize another 'get together party' before the summer starts.
The members were informed that the Organising Commitee of Get-together Party will review the matter and will inform soon.
5. On the occasion of 'Sahasra Chandradarshan', the super seniors Srikanthan garu and Narsi Reddy garu who completed 80 years were expected to be felicitated but we could not trace their details. Hence it was not possible. But we wish them to live happy life for over hundred years with good health and may God's grace be upon them all the time.
6. After completing 75 years of age (Platinum Jubilee), Subrahmanyangar, Seetharamanjaneyugar, Satyanarayana Murthy and Anand Prasad were felicitated by Senior Citizen Welfare Association.
These are persons who set aside their selfishness in life, faced many ups and downs, educated their children, brought them to a higher status, shaped their lives. They also contributed their part for the welfare of the society, they are always to be appreciated for their services.
All the members of our Association congratulated all of them on behalf of our Senior Citizen community.
7. As the details all members are not available; if any one has been forgotten please bring it to the notice of the working group.
8. It was decided that, the month in which a senior citizen complets 75 years of age, he will be honored in the same month.
9. General Secretary Ramanamuni Srinivas Rao has requested to accept his resignation from the post of General Secretary and permit him to continue as primary member only. It is because he is unable to discharge his responsibilities properly in the activities of the Society due to personal reasons.
But the executive committee members and all the other members who participated in the General Body meeting did not accept his resignation. They asked him to continue their responsibility.
Ramana Muni garu also expressed his willingness to withdraw his resignation letter and accepted to continue in his post.
